We are very happy, that you found your way to us and our homepage. We, Karin and Muk, are restaurateurs with heart and soul, meanwhile in the eleventh generation. We love our occupation, our house and - naturally- our guests. Who would nout terribly much like to work and live in such a history - charged ambiance.... Our motivation: We love this old house and would give our right arm to preserve this beautiful piece of contemporary history. And, to be honest, it really would be sad, if just our generation would miscarry of this project. Besides our well-grounded training as cook (Muk) and restaurant specialist (Karin) we are continuously striving to improve ourselves, our - by the way, excellent - team and also the quality of our food and beverages. In the long term, it is our goal to get one of the best addresses in Regensburg and the whole region and to maintain this position. With this end in view, we constantly attend seminars of the IHK, tourism academy etc. To improve our work quality for our guests.
Birthday celebrated the owner cheated on us with the bill and she wrote in the bill that her waitress earned 27 euros per hour ... such vultures. The food is ok, this old building well not wow and the toilets are totally disgusting and dirty. I would not recommend this pub to anyone !!!!
Great place to be. Lovely again. Very tasty food. Home cooked food but not boring. Decent portions
very nice service! A table arranged despite full occupancy. Food was very good!
It was really worth it. Had found out about it in a podcast and today we were finally able to pay a visit here. Sympathetic host, friendly service and the food was absolutely delicious. Make a reservation in advance. Many greetings to the warm, 125cc driving, service 😊
We were very pleasantly surprised. A nice beer garden under chestnut trees. The hygiene regulations are adhered to in an exemplary manner. 👍🏻 The service was super nice and gave us good advice. (During the week it is much quieter than on the weekend, but you can also make a reservation.) From Röhrl Bräu, I particularly like the Straubinger Weisse and the dark Radler. The food was excellent. The goulash tasted fantastic, nicely boiled down and served with delicious napkin dumplings. The sharpness was well resolved. There was an extra homemade chilli sauce, so you can dose the heat as you like. My pretzel schnitzel was wonderfully lean, crispy and tasty. With homemade potato salad. 😍 (By the way, I ate the chilli sauce with my schnitzel because it was too hot for my husband. This is an insider tip for everyone who loves heat 😉) The homemade chocolate ice cream with marinated cherries and a hammer-like lemon balm pesto also had to be. We almost fought about it 😊 Full points! 👍🏻
The spare ribs all u can eat was excellent. The spare ribs tasted better than some other American restaurants. I can really only recommend it.
A very nice old tavern, we love coming here! The shady beer garden in particular is super cozy and very pleasant to linger in the summer. We have now eaten through the entire menu, from eating ribs on Monday to pretzel schnitzel on Sunday, everything tasted really good. The innkeepers take very good care of their guests and often take time for them personally. All in all, always worth a visit! Good food in a nice atmosphere with a friendly, family atmosphere.
Nice beer garden! The current regulations are well implemented. Not disturbing at all, just well thought out. And the food was perfect again
Were here spontaneously after a hike. Great food and very creative and innovative in terms of hygiene guidelines. Will definitely be back.
The food has always been very solid the last few times and tasted good. The healthy old trees in the beer garden are impressive and make it particularly beautiful. It is great that you are served. What I don't like, however, is having to ask for side dishes such as ketchup after receiving the food, which should be asked when ordering. The separation of the compartments due to Corona could be a little nicer. The prices are at the Regensburg level.
Great people, friendly and courteous. Great food you like to go there
Everything's fine, at any time again. Delicious food, nice team, great location. What more do you want? Here you can see that love is being worked for me. 😍🥰😍
Good home cooking. The taste is very good and the portions are plentiful. The conditions are friendly. But you should be able to pre-order if you are unlucky enough to wait a long time.
Very friendly innkeepers, nice beer garden, very good food, delicious beer and good value for money!
Extremely good Schweinebraten, in a very lovely outdoor ambience. Great experience. Gladly would come again. My mum came here as a kid, and it's as good as it was then. Update 2020: Still excellent.
The Gasthaus Röhrl is always worth a visit. Good plain food, very cozy dining rooms and a very large hall. The beer garden is beautiful and shady. The waitresses are very friendly. You should definitely reserve on weekends and public holidays. Clear recommendation
Ok
Amazing
We are often here to eat it always tasted great the dishes are Sasionell prepared and there are always large portions. The conditions are quickly alert and always in good shape, even during heavy use. It's always fun to come here. I can only recommend it 👍
Great atmosphere. Enjoy your meal. The senior gave us a private guide to the old story really super nice. We liked it very much. Beer garden very nice.
beautiful inn with friendly service and delicious food! I rarely ate such a good boar roast. The prices are fair for the quality. The toilets were clean.
I rarely award five stars, that is, when there is nothing to improve, and that is the case here! We have become aware of this wonderful restaurant through a television program. I was impressed by the "oldest inn in the world" and how it is managed. Here we definitely wanted to go! Thought done. On our journey home from Italy back to the Lower Rhine, we took 100 km detour in order to stop here. And fine! Starting with the ambience of this old house, this is exactly how I imagine a Bavarian inn, the service staff, the host, and not least the excellent food! We were lucky to be here on a Monday, there were ribs as much as you like, which my husband ordered, just great! I took the traditional schnitzel with pretzel bread, but not with croquettes, I preferred a potato dumpling, which was not a problem at all. He also came with a fine gravy and tasted great. The culmination was the dessert, from the mother of the house lovingly hand made apple strudel, with ice cream and cream. Well, I have eaten a lot of strudel in my life, but that was one of the best! We felt very comfortable and were very pleased that you still occasionally find restaurants, where you honest, fresh and regional cooking! Also, we were very happy that the host took a little time for us and sat down to us at the table. We were the first time but certainly not the last time here. On our next trip to Italy, we will definitely be back and look forward to it. Conclusion: If you are in the vicinity of Regensburg, you should definitely stop here!

Service not necessarily friendly Food lukewarm and not really good, sauce when Schäufele thin as tea. Cappuccino already spilled from serving into the saucer and loveless presented without apology and at least a napkin.
Dining at the oldest restaurant in the world. It is a restaurant with a beer garden in Eilsbrunn in the district of Regensburg. Operating since 1658 by the Röhrl family, it is a beautiful restaurant full of great old school vibes. We had wonderful dishes tonight, such as a rich beef soup with liver knödel, roast calf meat with bread knödel, wild boar Served with a jam which helped to cut through the flavour of the boar, a wonderful pork schnitzel with kartöffelsalat and the pork was marinated in horseradish and mustard, then battered and fried in a thin crunchy batter. It had such a sweet flavour from the horseradish which cut through the meaty flavour of the pork, making it taste very light and delicious. And of course, the highlight of the night, pork spare ribs. Cooked to tender perfection and beautifully seasoned. Oh Gosh, I devoured 11 bones on my own, as it was so delicious. And it was served with ketchup, mustard, herbed cream cheese and horseradish cream. What a night of food and company, come on over and give the oldest restaurant in the world a try.
Small portions food was OK. Nothing special.
Super place. Nice and friendly. My best recommendation.
Nice place, good food!
After so many years the place is wonderful, the food is great!😍
The hotel is locatet aproximatly 20 km out of ratisbona. It is in a quiet little town sourounded by countryside. The tavern, which also belongs to the hotelowners, holds the guiness world record for being the longest run tavern in the world, with its beginnings in 1658. The rooms are amazing and held in an industrial style look. Internet acces is free and works great. Friendly staff is always here to answer questions. The food in the tavern is also amazing, which consists of adatives and the ingridients are grown/ bought localy. All in all it has been an awesome experience staying here. I recomend this location to anyone visiting bavaria.
Nice place for vacation or holiday. Restaurant next to it. Rooms are to small is my only complaint
Best käsespätzle I've ever had! Kind staff & quick service.
Optimal!
Great Little gem hidden in the county side. Good food and drink. Main costs 5 euro, well worth it
